Black Science Vol 2 continues the breakneck pace of the first book, exceeding story expectations at every turn while slowly peeling back the layers on these deeply flawed, interesting, very human characters. Kadir couldn't be more different from the character we met in the first book, and we get to understand the McKay children in a way that sheds light on not only who they are, but also who their parents were, and why everyone has ended up the way they have.
Nothing has changed from the last volume. The crew are still lost, everything in the worlds still wants their Pillar technology, and the chance of them getting home gets slimmer every second. The artwork continues to amaze as Matteo Scalera can draw every vividly, beautifully warped and twisted thing that comes spilling from Author Rick Remender's mind.
