I love this series and hope she never ends it

Sherryl Woods books always make me laugh, cry, and smile. This one is no exception. I find myself in the story, yelling at the characters as if I were there. You just have to root for Liz and Aidan and hope they get together in the end. I love this series and hope she never ends it. If you haven't read this series or this author, you need to do so. Her stories are heart-warming and funny. This is one of my fave series and I always wait with bated breath for the next one to come out.

I'm not going to lie...I don't recall ever waiting this breathlessly and anxiously for any book to arrive. I'm the type of person who would much rather wait for the whole series to finish before beginning it, mostly because I get really invested in the characters and in their story lines and care so much about their fates. (The ending matters, people!!!)

But this time, in preparation for the third installment, i have been re-reading Poison Princess and Endless Knight for months, looking for clues and hoping I could successful predict what would happen to my beloved characters. I would browse blogs and believe it or not, even study Tarot cards just to get a possible glimpse of the future. I also braced myself because I was 100% positive that the ending would have a cliffhanger almost as bad as the second one. And I have to say, I was not mistaken. In fact, I'm still asking myself what the heck just happened.

Love it!!

I absolutely love this book!!! I've been making juice every morning for the past several months and now that I have this book, I sometimes end up making it a few times a day. We have tried 20-30 recipes from here and they have all been delicious. We particularly like the fact that most of the juices are not combinations we have seen elsewhere.

The photos are pretty and the recipes are easy to read. I especially like the index for ingredients- when we have a certain fruit or veggie we need to use up, I check the back to see where I can find recipes for it. I also really love how the chapters are divided by what you are wanting to get out of a particular juice- fuel, detox, etc. etc.

Can't say what possessed me to purchase this book??? I had never heard of Viv Albertine or The Slits. I didn't listen to punk rock. However, I found this book captivating. The honesty of it all. Still a thundering good yarn
This is instalment seven of the Warrior Chronicles set in the time of King Alfred and his successors, with Uthred, the pagan warlord brought up by the Danes, still fighting on the side of the Saxons, although getting a bit long in the tooth. Unsurprisingly, a number of reviewers who (just like myself) have read through the whole series over the years might have a sense a "déjà vu", to the extent that some might be getting a bit tired with having similar scenes played over and over again. These include the hero getting himself into trouble by murdering and terrorising overbearing churchmen, throwing his weight around, rushing around the country waving his sword and saving the Saxons almost on his own. If the book was limited to this, then indeed I would share their feelings. But there is, at least for me, far more to it than that...

My Dr. wanted me to follow a low FODMAP meal plan because of my continuous problems with bloating and constipation. Hickman's scene with Namor and Doom alone is worth the purchase of purchase. This is a scene that should be discussed for generations. Tchalla is given somewhat the same short shrift he has always gotten from Marvel, almost bowing down before Reed Richards, the hierarchy of Stark Richards, Banner, and even McCoy all more or less ranking Tchalla, grates my nerves more than a bit, but that said, this story is a good as Marvel has ever produced. Theres also a scene where the Illuminati provoke Steve Rogers thats nothing short of brilliant. Its a FANTASTIC book!

I was so excited to receive this book today. It came in the beautiful Laduree fashion you'd expect; gorgeous box with lovely pictures inside along with a fold-out list of every Laduree macaron they've ever created. Love at first sight! Imagine my surprise as I'm poring through the book only to find quite a few of their staple favorites were not included; where's the Salted Butter Caramel, the Praline, the Coffee? Not in the book; just a small mention of them. Don't get me wrong, there's no shortage of recipes; just disappointed that some of their most famous faves were excluded. Still a lovely book to look at with plenty of recipes to try.

I give 3 stars only because I feel like the information in the book is the same content available for free on Youtube ( as Ive found with "Estherham's" other books) I feel like the exchange that comprised this book could have just been sold as a CD or made available online with everything else. I think that those who are familiar with the teachings of Abraham will not find much of anything new in this book. 'Abraham' even tells the story about the blue glass, butterflies and feather; a story they have told over and over in the seminars.

However, someone who is brand new to the Hicks books/seminars may find this book totally fascinating.

I selected this book for devotional reading prior to the Lenten Season. I was anticipating some readings that would prompt meditation and reflection. Sadly that’s not what I found.

Author Rowan Williams used transcripts from talks given at Canterbury Cathedral in 2010. According to the introduction, Williams “left most of it unaltered.” Spoken words don’t always translate well to written word. This is true in this particular instance because what is written is more academic than meditative.

Williams’s study of Mark is unique and he presents details about Mark and his ministry that are rarely studied. The insight presented helps the reader understand why Mark wrote the way he did. Mark wanted to get the meat of the life of Jesus. Once I understood Mark, I was better able to study the book.

I have been investing for the past 40 years, primarily through mutual funds. Good, but...

I usually love Ann Rule books. She was one of the first true crime authors I read, and she remained my favorite for many years. But this latest offering feels rushed and incomplete, almost as if Ann herself is tired of writing the books and is still doing it solely because it's her job. None of the stories contains the kind of detail I have come to expect in an Ann Rule account, and as a result I didn't much care about the people involved. When I become blasé about a crime victim, I know it's time to quit reading.
So I give this book three stars, because it IS Ann Rule, after all, and there are no glaring flaws, other than the rushed, "catch it in a sound bite" nature of the stories. Just don't let this be the book by which you judge Ann Rule's talent.

This extraordinary book collects the pictures of and information about 600 beautiful beetles, arranged in four groups (Archostemata, Myxophaga, Adephaga, and Polyphaga). They come with a variety of shapes and spectacular colors. My favorites are the frog-legged leaf beetle (p. 575), the pilolabus viridans (p. 591), and the giraffe-necked weevil (p.593). The metallic-like surfaces of many of the beetles photographed in the book originates from microstructures that reflect light at certain angles rather than from pigments (hence the term structural colors). This book will encourage you to go out in the forest looking for beautiful beetles to photograph (you might want to learn something about close-up photography, in which case a nice book that I can recommend you is Close Up Photography in Nature by John and Barbara Gerlach).

Everyone LOVES this cookbook!

I am a dietitian who works in outpatient clinic settings. I also have type 1 diabetes. I saw an advertisement in Diabetic Living magazine for this book and was intrigued as it follows the diabetic Plate Method. A patient of mine ordered it upon my recommendation and brought it with her one visit. Wow! The meals in here are extremely appealing and relatively simple to make. Everyone who has looked at it (diabetic or not) says the same thing-that the meals look great, aren't too complicated and don't have unusual ingredients that you have to purchase especially for one or two recipes. It is so convenient that the nutrition analysis is given for both the complete meal and the individual recipes in the meal. If you or a relative or friend are struggling to find easy and appealing ideas to stay on track with your meal plan I highly recommend this book. It appears to appeal to a wide range of people.

A Paleo family's go-to book
I love this book. My kids love that I love this book. We've made a ton of things out of it and every single recipe has worked (none of that - wait, what? why doesn't this look like the picture stuff). My children (2 and 5) have loved that these are kid- and family-friendly, not fussy dishes. Last night we had the Creamy Brussels Sprouts (there probably is an official name for it but I don't have the book in front of me) and both my kids, who have of late been saying they now hate brussels sprouts both asked for more AND asked for some in their lunches today. The Thanksgiving stuffing was probably our favorite dish on Christmas this year. The grasshopper pudding (one of those creamy dairy-free avocado-based concoctions that is seen in my attached picture) is still my favorite thing out of here though. So freaking good!

I am always looking for books that I can easily disciple someone with that is not overwhelming in size but packs a punch. Greg Gilbert’s first book What is the Gospel? fit that criteria through and through and most of the time, as soon as I get a copy in my hands, I tend to give it away!

Gilbert’s new book Who is Jesus? is just as great! In fact, both books side by side make a perfect one-two punch when you are training a new believer or sharing the gospel with someone who is interested in Christianity.

In fact, I tweeted Gilbert today and he said that the best way to disciple someone with these books is to read Who is Jesus and then What is the Gospel to help lead them to know Jesus and the gospel.

Gilbert’s book, with a great forward by Trip Lee, is broken down into eight compact but great chapters, looking at Jesus from different angles to help the reader to see that there is something that is “more than meets the eye”...

The book is great. I like how it starts with a basic understanding of the cause of tummy troubles such as bloating and constipation and then goes into the recipes. I would suggest using this book in combination with the 21-Day Tummy diet book (it came out year)which will give you a more detailed understanding of tummy troubles and includes receipes as well. But if a "basic" understanding is all you need and you are looking for an abundant amount of "tummy tamer" recipes then this book will do. The book includes all you need to be successful on the 21 day tummy diet which includes sample meal plans for the 3 phases and guides you on how to identify Belly Bullies and Belly Buddies. I am a huge fan of Liz Vaccariello's books (I also tried the Digest Diet and was quite successful). Unfortunately, last year when I bought the 21-Day Tummy diet book I was only able to complete through day 14 because I ended up moving across the country which meant staying in a hotel and lots of eating out...

I read "Turning 15.." on Christmas morning surrounded by family, and found after completing it that I still couldn't put it away. It lay around for days so I could just open a page an re-immerse myself in its power and clarity. Then after seeing the film "Selma" a few days later I just wanted to read it again. Finally I passed it on to my (sometimes dismissive) 9 year old son whose assessment was "pretty cool!" I think this book is an evocative window into a place and time, as well as an essential primer on the real unsung heroes of the civil rights movement, who gave and risked so much to make us all more free.

This is a delightful book that offers a TON of useful information on growing and pruning fruit trees. You can tell, right off the bat that this is going to be a fun, creative book. To start with, even the Table of Contents is designed around gardening! Each major section is labeled with a plant marker. Note the detail--even the plant markers are decorated with little sketches of garden life. There are many more well-crafted illustrations throughout the book. They really add to the total theme of the book.

The author explains that she learned this technique from a nursery in Modesto, California; however, she was reluctant to practice the severe pruning required. There are a few single words in the English language you could use to describe this book, the stories of heroism, and insights into the murky world of special operations...I'll just choose one:

Just like his other open source "guides" to DEVGRU and Delta Force, Martin's Modern American Snipers delivers the goods...continually.

This book paints a little more graphic picture of Delta's recce squads of Advanced Assaulters and DEVGRU's black team snipers...not to mention the Ranger Regiment's incredible contributions to GWOT (even snippets regarding the Ranger Reconnaissance Regiment), MARSOC, and the ODA's among a HOST of others.

Not to be overlooked, Webb, Murphy, Davis, Irving and the others at SOFREP should be commended as well for their matter-of-fact candor regarding the units, the missions and the men.

As far as recommendations, saying "read this" is simply not enough.
