Useful. Not the "be all" and "end all" but does what it says it does.
Ok. You may or may not pass the GED, but this typical Kaplan product is as good as you can get. Frankly, if you're an autodidact (people who haven't passed the GED might not know that word) this is awesome. If you're a typical person (intelligent, not yet graduated from high school AND THAT'S WHY YOU'RE LOOKING TO BUY THIS BOOK!!!) this will definitely help. The overviews and background of each section are useful, but you still might need some help. The online practice tests are priceless. I'm a college grad with a Master's degree and I was able to get about 85% of the questions correct without doing anything. Good book. Good preparation. Stay focused and use this, and you'll probably get your GED. BUT. You should probably avail yourself of some personal tutoring, especially in the areas where you suck (and this book will tell you where you suck). Not a magic bullet, but an excellent resource nonetheless.
