Excellent book, not only for beginners!

This is an excellent book, very clearly written, easy to follow and providing a plethora of tips and resources for the beginner algorithmic trader. The recommendations are up to date and informed, for example the R packages and resources used are very popular with the R community. Although I have been using and teaching R for years( Phd in Statistics, training in finance), this book introduced me to a great package I did not know of. The discussion of Stat concepts is very well written as well.
