Excellent, In Several Respects
This is the best business book I've read in several years. Sviokla and Cohen studied 800 self-made billionaires and interviewed a sample of them. These were men and women who created extraordinary value. The authors' interest was to better understand the traits billionaires share. While they were at it, Sviokla and Cohen debunked some popular myths about billionaires such as their sense of urgency, perception of risks, and being first to market. The first-hand accounts provided by the billionaires, themselves, added to the authors insights.

I enjoyed the book from several perspectives. First, of course, was to understand these traits and see the myths debunked. What I learned made a lot of sense. It was also interesting from a historical and biographical perspective. Many of the billionaires' stories were new to me.
