I received an advance copy of this book. I read A High-End Finish, the first book in the series, and loved it; so I was thrilled to get the chance to read this one before its official release. I was not disappointed. I love the location of the series, Lighthouse Cove, CA. Shannon is a great character and is well-developed. It's so easy to picture her and all the rest of the regulars. Her career as a the owner of a construction company is unique to cozy mysteries, but she comes off as strong and feminine. I began to suspect who the killer was before the final chapters, but the development of that person's plans and actions leading up to it was so well done that I had to keep reading to discover all that went before the murder. It was hard to put this book down until I got to the end.
